Class Action Lawsuit Against Ashford University

I paid double for a BA than I would have at any other university. I have $70,000 in student loan debt and the refuse to release my diploma due to double charging me for a course and refusing to remedy it. They also did not give me full credit for transfer credits.

I am late about hearing about this fraud.

I have several issues with Ashford. For starters mislead abt career outcome info.

I graduated from Ashford Unversity back in 2009 which my BA in Social Science with an Education Concentration. I was told that once I received my degree I would be able to land a career in the field of either Social Work or Teaching. I have not be able to land any type of career with this degree and have had to settle with any top of job I can get. In order to be a Social Worker I need a Master's Degree or to be a teacher a Teaching License. The cost of the program is way more then what I was told. The information they gave was misleading and I want them to clear the debt I have from them

This school is a joke. I took a ton of classes i couldn’t transfer. They charged me a bogus fee when I withdrew and refused to give me transcripts until I paid it.

I owe a balance of over $3,000 at Ashford University and do not know why

I attended Ashford University 2010-2015. in Clinton, Iowa online school and CA too. I never received my BA diplomas nor transcripts. I paid Ashford their repayment program and students loan and it doesn’t show. We as former student supposed to be discharged and it never happened. I could go and go the hardship I experienced with Ashford.

I was misled into believing prior classes would apply to Ashford university and 3 weeks before graduation I was told I had to pay $5 k or would not receive my diploma. I finished my degree in 2019 but the only thing I have to show for it is a monthly bill from a collection agency. I am still very angry as it meant so much to me to walk across the stage and receive my diploma- but I was never allowed to receive my diploma. I truly feel deceived and cheated.

I went there and they scammed me and never honored anything

Attended Ashford from 2015-2021 and now have a 76K loan and a degree in Education that is USELESS. I am unable to start my certification process to get my NY teaching license and they misled me the entire 6 years

I got a bachelors/masters from Ashford and a whopping 80k in debt now.

Ashford University took advantage of my financial aid, I didn’t receive several refunds as well as being kicked out of the school for speaking out I wound up transferring to Strayer university only to run out of funding 9 credits before my graduation due to Ashford soaking up a lot of my funds as well as refusing to transfer my acquired credits.

I was pushed to enroll even when the degree I was obtaining was worthless and credits not transferable. I was told I would have 0 student loans,. yet I am stuck with over 30K in loans for a worthless degrees in PSY.

I believe Ashford university misled student.I remembered I had failed a class with a D they were paid twice with my student loan money.When I questioned them they were that's the way it works .I felt they were double paid.

Is this still going on
