Bobby Clarke has officially stepped down as General Manager. Our objective was met and the organization is now moving in a different direction. I will monitor the leadership transition to ensure the necessary changes continue.
As the Philadelphia Flyers have fallen well short of expectations again, it is time for a new start. The coach or the players are always the scapegoat, but the real power that has undermined this organization is the general manager, Bobby Clarke. It is time that he is held accountable. It is forgotten that he completed dismantled a Stanley Cup contender before it was time in his first stint as GM. Now, after 8 years of botched trades, endless tinkering, numerous bad coaching hires, and a personal vendetta against Eric Lindros, there are NO results to show for it. It is time that Ed Snider, the owner of the team, make Mr. Clarke accountable and give the incredibly loyal fan base of this team a new start to build for the future. This petition demands that Bobby Clarke be removed as General Manager of the team immediately.
I have compiled the feedback from this petition into a formal letter that is being delivered to the front office today. This document highlights the specific pattern of management decisions that have negatively impacted the current roster. My next step involves coordinating with local sports journalists to ensure these concerns reach the ownership group.

Finally. The way he treated Lindros was pathetic. He never cared about the players he just wanted control.
