We, the undersigned members of the Chicago Sports Broadcast freelance community, wish to express our support for and appreciation of Clarion Productions as a valued member of the Chicago Sports Broadcast Community. However we are concerned that Clarion and NABET have gone for over three years without reaching agreement on a contract that respects Clarion’s workers as the employees they are, and upholds the Area Standard wages and conditions of the other contracts sport freelancers work under in this market. We therefore pledge our support to NABET in their efforts to sign Clarion to such an Area Standards contract and urge Clarion and NABET to expedite their efforts to conclude negotiations on that contract. We feel that this would strengthen the entire Chicago Sports Broadcast freelance community.
