I'M SORRY WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR MOM.GIVE HER MY LOVE. Had a DOUBLED MURDER in the family. 3rd cousin in Peace River ,AB country Melody Perry& her daughter. It was CANADA WIDE NEWS. It took the courts to sentence him 6.5 years after the murders. He kept on firing his lawyers. He should have gotten DEATH PENALTY. THAT IS WHAT Melody & HER DAUGHTER GOT, PLUS FAMILY & FRIENDS GOT.

When I was 12 years old my sister and I witnessed our mother being beaten severly by her common law husband. At 12 years old I called the police. They came and arrested him but at that time there were no domestic violence laws anand he wa sonly hedl overnight. YES, YES ,YES this bill is needed!!!

Im a victim if abuse but dont want to go to trial even though they soepenaed me. How can they force me to do something i dont want to do. If i dont go to court i go to jail. How is that fair???

I think it needs to both men and woman, as some women are violent to men as well. I would also like to see an STD database.

Such behaviour should not be hidden. Silence and blinds enable and ironically protect perpetrators.

I am a survivor of domestic violence and was stalked for 5 years. I went to the police and they said he had a clean record but I knew he had previous charges against him. Somehow he was able to get his record sealed.

This needs to be passed as soon as possible. We cannot lose one more person to domestic violence. I know firsthand how important this is.

My sister was murdered by her ex boyfriend. Showing ones's criminal record is paramount, part of the consequences when one choses to harm those with less power.

When your husband was a Police Officer in Edmonton and his coworkers will not charge him, you have no protection and nowhere to turn. Who can help us to get justice and protect us??? Alienating your children from you is child abuse and a continuation of the Domestic Violence.
