This club is owned by the local people and when was been built people bought bricks with there own money to help raise funds.

The social aspect of a GAA club is central to it being a community hub. We should reopen the bar and promote full use of the clubhouse facilities within our membership

A lot of people worked very hard to build and maintain the new facilities at the Club...And the Bar was a central place for our Community for all types of social activity.. It was a quid pro quo Social Contract with the Community.. It was a return for all the commercial support given to the club by the Community over many years and profits made were reinvested into other club facilities that many enjoy today..The Club has a responsibility to its Community, without whose support it would not enjoy the facilities that exist there today.. Do the right thing Clanna Gael Fontenoy. Surely among all the highly educated members that exist in the Club at present you can come up with a business plan to reopen the Bar..And that business plan will have to include more interaction with the working class caption area of the Club, those same people who loyally supported the Club's commercial operation since it opened its premises there in December of 1989..

Since I was a child, playing for clans, many years ago,our changing rooms where in the park, the club eventually got a clubhouse for the whole community, so this needs to open again to the WHOLE COMMUNITY

It’s an absolute shame how this once vibrant Club has been closed and left to waste away … it was once the very hub of our great community where people were welcomed in and always a friendly place for young and old … bring back those good days again for us all to enjoy
