I'm all for civility with clarity and compassion. Isn't that what we should be all about anyway?

I'm saddened by the way we talk to one another today. It's so much the norm that it is very easy to fall into the trap. But this is not the people we are called to be.

I believe, to be informed is the best way we can be companionate and truthful in our conversations with others. Our words then can be inspired by the Holy Spirit instead of by fear and anger.

I'm pledging because I think the tone of this election scares me. I am often tempted to jump into the fray, but my faith challenges me to see God in everyone and to treat everyone with dignity.
