I wholeheartedly believe this is a necessity our community is in desperate need of, i can think of several families this issue has affected. Had we had this group to ensure more transparency, then I believe justice and some peace may have been within reach for those done unjustly.

I think the jail needs to be looked into better. I have heard there has been deaths on the women's side because they do not get the proper medical attention they need. Or even given proper sanitary needs or even clean underwear when they have periods if their underwear gets soiled with blood.

I believe during the war on drugs many police departments have done so much off the book deals and back door things that over time them themselves have become corrupt and lazy.
