We the people hereby petition the City Council, Mayor John Fretti and City Manager Larry Hanson to amend the City of Valdosta liquor ordinance. We ask that the legal serving time as well as closing time be changed from 2:00 am to 3:00 am and that all non employees be off premise no later than 3:30am. This action although not totally equaling will make the city more competitive to like businesses located in the Lowndes county which times already allow for them to serve alcohol until 3:00am and does not specify a closing time.
