You can't change history. Leave the day alone. Create another day if you want to have an indigenous day!

Honestly I believe Nevada has it right. Leave Columbus Day alone. Native Americans deserve their own day and while we’re at it how about DEEDING them back some of their land?

A ridiculous and insulting proposal! Surely elected officials have many more pressing issues to attend to!

This should not even be a question. Leave the holidays alone.

Stop the divisive identity politics and virtue signaling. It is a historical fact that the "indigenous people" also owned Afreican American slaves and many tribes like the Cherokee refused to free them after the Emancipation Proclamation. Do they teach the whole truth in school, or just portray Columbus as a villain ?

Leave Columbus Day alone. First they picked on the Italian Landscapers NOW Columbus Day - Do we think the Councilors who also are proposing this are ANTI - ITALIAN??

History is important. You may think unkindly of Columbus, but you cannot wipe away history. That’s how we Americans learn...... from history. This comes from a registered nurse living in the lake. I am applauded that you called me an uneducated white person from the lake. I will be at the meeting in September .
