CITY OF NEWPORT STOP TOXIC SEWAGE SLUDGE aka BIOSOLIDS along the SILETZ RIVER & ITS WATERSHED

The Oregon Coastal Coho are a threatened species under the Endangered and Threatened Species act and their Habitat. The Coho are protected by the 503.14 Management practices. (a) Bulk sewage sludge shall not be applied to the land if it is likely to adversely affect a threatened or endangered species listed under section 4 of the Endangered Species Act or its designated critical habitat. a,https://epa.ohio.gov/portals/35/sludge/503_08_04_99.pdf. Toxic Sewage Sludge aka Bio Solids are a danger to their survival. §503.10   Applicability. (a) This subpart applies to any person who prepares sewage sludge that is applied to the land, to any person who applies sewage sludge to the land, to sewage sludge applied to the land, and to the land on which sewage sludge is applied. (2) The Regional Administrator of EPA or, in the case of a State with an approved sludge management program, the State Director, may apply any or all of the general requirements in §503.12 and the management practices in §503.14 to the bulk sewage sludge in §503.10(b)(1) on a case-by-case basis after determining that the general requirements or management practices are needed to protect public health and the environment from any reasonably anticipated adverse effect that may occur from any pollutant in the bulk sewage sludge. https://ecfr.io/Title-40/sp40.32.503.b

I personnely have had the effects of sewage as fertilizer effect my livestock. We are smart enough to find other methods to deal with the sewage and fertilizer that will not have a long term effect. Our Waters are SOO IMPORTANT...Shereen Rowland

Clean water is essential .Quit polluting our watersheds in which the majority of the residents of Lincoln county receive our drinking water supply.

The sacred Siletz river needs to be protected! We all live downstream.

Find another way to dispose of your crappie waste product! DON’T spread it on fields near the Siletz River and above various communities’ water intake valves.

STOP applying biosolids and other toxic waste in my neighborhood and stop applying it anywhere. If you don't want it in your front yard, then you cannot put it in my backyard. I own some Rock Creek frontage and do not want you contaminating my creek.

The Siletz River Valley is not a dumping ground for toxic waste.

The Siletz river is the main source of drinking water for several towns in Lincoln county. It's also the home to numerous species of fish, including our beloved Salmon. Other wildlife drink from these waters as well. Polluting with biosolids that are known to be hazardous to this, and all waterways is dead wrong. Your killing our river, the animals that live in it, and those of us that like to swim in it, and drink it. Stop the spraying of biosolids, stop poisoning the siletz river.

Why is this in our back yard and not yours?! What if we come up with a safer alternative?

This nonsense has to stop..there is an attempt to find a cure for cancer not make more. Why do innocent people have to suffer for stupidity? Unless you've been there you don't know what repercussions it causes. Not only that but ruining our natural beauty which we don't have a lot of anymore..wake up people
