Citizenship delays for refugees in Australia calls for government action

The deliberate slowdown to processing visa applications exhibited by the government and public service of Australia towards refugees doesn't save money, it increases the amount of medical care and financial support the migrant will need once everything is finally processed. This a false economy. Refugees want to start afresh and are willing to work, given the right encouragement. Delaying the visa process is not encouragement. We don't need people who's only contribution to this country is money that they spend on property while they export the profits. We need people who will contribute to our society through hard work, being part of the community, educating their children here and setting up their homes here, things money cannot buy. Its time the government, and Mr Dutton, started getting real instead of merely cruel.

The denial of moral obligations and human rights perpetuating subjugation of refugees is wrong!

We really don't need to keep going down this path of discrimination and deliberately treating people badly, we can and should do much better.

The unlawful discrimination (Art 31, RefCon) is never-ending by this government.

All permanent residents should be treated the same way when applying for citizenship. The huge delays for those who arrived by boat is unfair and unacceptable. If they have been approved as genuine refugees and have then been resident for the required time it can only be assumed that government is insisting on the delays for boat arrivals. It is adding further cruelty to the process.

I'm really getting sick of the Australian department of emigration for this kind of racial discrimination to people who came here by boat as refugee.
