O.K. to grow, but without proper accompanying infrastructure growth - roads, sewage, schools, fire, police, etc., then, no. And that includes route 17, as I am sure many new residents would be commuting to the other side of the James River.

This development is massive and much larger than the original scope of the project. There aren’t enough schools, roads, and services to support it. There is plenty of new development in Isle of Wight and a project this large is not needed at this time.

In the last fifteen years, I of W planners and commissioners have accomplished the destruction of what once was a beautiful and serene place to live and raise children. They have turned our peaceful and beautiful area into a combination of Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk and Portsmouth. No thoughts for infrastructure to include fire prevention, schools, police support, transportation, shops, restaurants and medical care.

Infrastructure can't support this proposed growth! How snout for once we require the developer to fix the infrastructure before building all the new homes? But so many of us moved to Smithfield to avoid all the growth.

Before the county continues to approve developments, it needs to add infrastructure. The traffic on 17, the crowded schools and strain on the county systems proves infrastructure needs to come before new development!

Over development reduces the charm of the area. Current infrastructure doesn't support hundreds, let alone over 1100 housing units. Upgrading infrastructure returns you to my first point.

My zip is 23430 and I oppose this development.
We do not have the infrastructure and schools are already to crowded.

A terrible idea to expand a complex that will already radically change the character of this area and cannot be supported by current roads/infrastructure. 23430
