Smithfield is big enough and the schools are already over crowded... put in education before approving any new neighborhoods or developments!!

We DON’T need more housing here. It will take away from the “small town” feel. Also, if built how are we going to accommodate for all the children in our schools?

Build better roads to accommodate more traffic before approving more residential. Sad to see the county be over developed.

Too much development without accompanying infrastructure improvements. There will be significant increase in housing in the Smithfield area, without road expansion to accommodate traffic, without building of additional schools, without consideration of expanded capacity for water and sewage, emergency services. One of the main roads in and out of this part of the county is route 17 north and south. During rush hours it’s is a mess. The JRB should be expanded. The smaller 17 south bridges into Suffolk are inadequate for the current traffic and will be a disaster with more traffic. This will effect people’s ability to get to work or just travel out of IOW.

If we wanted all the problems of Virginia Beach, we would move there.

The schools cannot handle anymore students. We need businesses for tax dollars and not additional people crowding our town and shopping elsewhere.
