Preserve Smithfield! No to overdevelopment! Stop the greedy developers from destroying our small, historic town by trying to make it another Virginia Beach or the atrocity that North Suffolk has become. Overpopulation, traffic and congestion, crime...tge list goes on. Coming from a big city, (Los Angeles,Ca.) I left as many do from big cities to get away from the overpopulation, traffic and crime! Smithfield is a perfect choice for those who want to get away from that kind of lifestyle and now they are trying to take it away. We must stop this madness! 23430

As a long time resident of Gatling Pointe and an A&D industry professional I am saddened to see this proposed project is even being considered. I simply couldn't be more opposed to it at any scale. Please learn to value natural resources over human distraction of the little waterfront that remains. It should become a protected national wildlife refuge area and a community park, if anything, linking, via the waterway with Windsor Castle Park, Smithfield Station, Nike Park etc.. Provide historical boat tours of Smithfield's waterways highlightIng the natural beauty of Smithfield featuring the deliberate preservation of the site. I do believe what is literally at steak is the very soul of Smithfield.

I believe this development will create environmental issues for the surrounding properties, wetlands and wildlife. Not in favor of this project.
