Restricting the use of X-rays in the clinical setting to only serious medical pathologies is restricting the quality of chiropractic care. Radiographs aid in delivering a precise adjustment or discovering silent red flags. For example. An abdominal aortic aneurysm that could be asymptomatic but discovered on X-ray, might save a patient’s life or prevent a chiropractor from causing harm.

I believe that the use of xrays in my treatment has kept me healthy and well. When used correctly they aid in my wellness.

Restricting the use of xrays does not make sense.

Doesn't seem like a logical move on the part of the College. Why wouldn't they want the benefit of technology and the added clarification of the issue?

Because of xray imagining my chyropractore was able to see where my cervicial stinoses was and was able to work around it , to make me feel almost 100% with out this technology i might still be laying in bed on 400mg of oxicotton. I am now on 60 a day

Having xrays is a vital part of chiropractics and massage you need to be able to see bone misalignment to see what needs to be fixed . Its just logical

Xrays are the major key to diagnosis for doctors, if someting works why break it.

Es necesario el uso de RX para crear un correcto análisis biomecánico y por ende un correcto protocolo de ajuste.

I have had x-rays at various chiropractor's offices and have been greatly helped by their being able to locate the underlying issues which require the ongoing adjustments.

Doctors of Chiropractic study and are trained in radiology related to the spine. There should be no mandates that control a doctor-patient relationship or affect a clinical decision when the doctor is in his scope

The x-rays are so important. They're helpful to my chiropractor in determining my care. They also motivate me to be consistent with the exercises that are assigned.
