I'd love to see an "Arts District" on HH, exempt from sign and zonging standards, where artists can have trendy studios, shops, galleries, and cafes to attract interested craft and visual arts visitors.

The arts scene should INCLUDE all and stop talking so much about ONE venue that automatically gets nearly 1 million each year to stay afloat, and most likely pay salaries. The money should be earmarked. As a 30 year resident, and arts leader here, I am shocked at how so much attention is paid to ONE venue, leaving others stranded. Thank you, Don Hite

Hello HHI,
I saw your article today "Hilton Head residents push to start cultural affairs office" and maybe I can help. I own the web address CulturalAffairs.com (it's currently for sale) but maybe we could use it to help raise awareness and funding.... just a thought!
