I lived in Meridiana Community and it’s within 5 miles radius. I didn’t move to Iowa Colony to worry about my family’s health. It will be a disaster to our community so We are against for building a concrete maker to our town.

I am petitioning against the building of a concrete batch plant close to our neighborhood. This is an endangerment of our lives, health and homes which will be affected should this plant be placed here. These buildings should be within other plants and industrial areas, and not within close proximity to any residential neighborhoods. If you think a few miles away is far enough, you are sadly wrong. In addition, it gets windy out in these parts which will carry dry cement dust particles and by products. Breathing this stuff into our lungs will become detrimental to our health. It is no difference from asbestos. Please do not put this concrete batch plant near our homes or any residential neighborhoods.

I don’t want my air to be polluted. I have respiratory issues. That’s one of the reasons we don’t live in a busy city of Houston.

I am against this. It in no way will benefit me or anyone in this community and will only cause damage to our roads and way of life. I moved here to escape these types of issues and will only decrease the value of my home. This is unacceptable.
