Let's get TAFY back to being a place where at-risk youth have a safe place to go and let the Salvation Army help the adults. A separation between youth and adults is an absolute must!

I fully support the Tafy that this organization once was...true answers for needy youth. But I do not support the turn the organization has now taken. It has opened its doors to known drug users and dealers, comingling them with underage, impressionable youth, leaving them susceptible to a life of crime and leaving it's surrounding community exposed to danger. The idea of what taffy once stood for is no longer valid, therefore the organization should no longer be allowed to operate under false pretenses.

Our town needs to wake up. Our children need a safe place not a drugy hang out. Money needs to being spent to help these kids not get them married. Keep out kids away from drugs and drug dealers. I want to see change.

Shameful.

I would really like to see this place renew their mission. Tafy needs a zero tolerance on criminal activity and should have to be mandatory reporters.

I have witnessed the disheartening truth described with this petition. I do not feel the intent of this program is being carried out as originally designed.

This place is not a place that helps "youths." It has and is a heaven for addicts to inflict harm upon our community. The phone number on the front door is disconnected. How would anyone report anything suspicious or dangerous to the manager or owner of the building in case of an emergency? Not to mention the illegal drug activity that has become associated with the people who frequent that establishment. Close the Doors!

http://www.peninsuladailynews.com/article/20150514/NEWS/305149995 This is just one instance of a sexual predator picking up victims at TAFY. The man in the article has returned to use TAFY's services many times since this incident, even though he is over the age limit!!

TAFY should be what it says: "The Answer for YOUTH", not adults ...

The original intent of TAFY was unfortunately lost with the influx of addicts, dealers, etc. Our town does not need yet another "service" that caters to this element!

I have personally seen drug activity going on in the parking lot, a know sex offender frequently on site. Talked to many that fear going here for services.

While I believe the original intent of this program was well intentioned the outcome has been a disaster.

This agency needs to be shut down and possibly re-opened with a renewed mission to help youth only with no tolerance for illegal activity.

I sign this in hopes that TAFY will either get back to their original intention, to help the YOUTH of our community, or shut it's doors. Providing a meal and clothing is one thing, turning a blind eye to criminal behavior, drug use, and exposing vulnerable youth to sex offenders, dealers and predators is inexcusable. I sign this for change.

TAFY is mixing vulnerable 13 year olds with (potentially predatory) 35 year olds. This cannot be healthy.
