Expanding the Landfield would not be good for the community nor the value of our homes

I am an active duty Military member and just recently purchased my first home in Fairburn. The community seemed like a decent area for my wife and 5 children to settle down in. After being subjected to inner city's my whole life being from New York I would expect the city of Fairburn to try and limit the amount of waste being allowed in the area and give the new beautiful communties being erected in the area a chance to realize its full potential. Before I purchased my home my research showed that this landfill would be closed. In the age of a Pandemic why would we want more waste located so close to a community with the added risk of airborne infections and viruses. If the people are saying no then it should be no. You as or local government work for us. We do not work for you. Show us we can count on you as our representatives. If you would not want this landfill behind your home do not put it behind ours.

This is in no way beneficial to the communities in this area. This is already and eye sore and the smell is horrible. This does not need to happen.

Too often in minority neighborhoods, our children and elderly suffer. Health problems due to landfill that effect the environment and quality life (toxins, greenhouse gases, and Leachate). This will effect our environment for generations the air quality, methane that is dangerous . It is imperative that you vote no for Fairburn Landfill, so our community to have equality and quality/ lifestyle.

If the city of Fairburn is looking to situate itself to "succeed", expanding property value/quality of life impacting landfills is "NOT" the way to do it. How about attracting shopping, medical care, and other enrichment venues to the Fairburn route 29 corridor. I vote NO to the expansion project!!
