US Public education is a national asset, instituted by the Founding Father's to ensure a thriving democracy in this United States. US public education is a national trust and should not be subject to privatization by for-profit entities whereby children are conditioned to comply with authoritarian/dictitorial experience. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has an obligation to it’s children to provide democratic public education as a means to participate in the American Democratic Way of Life. Utilizing statistically unreliable high stakes standardized tests as a means to label public schools failing in order to privatize them to for-profit-entities is a breach of the public’s trust.

If all schools are charter, where will they send the unwanted kids with the low test scores? I agree in options, but this is scary and harmful to the kids!

lOOK AT THE HISTORY OF CHARTER SCHOOLS OR PRIVATE SCHOOLS TAKING OVER IN ANY RUN DOWN CITY, THE EDUCATIONAL RESULTS DO NOT CHANGE OVER-ALL, RATHER THERE IS SUCH LACK OF OVER-SIGHT, THAT MANY OF THE CHARTER SCHOOLS SPEND MONEY WITH NO INTENTION OF HELPING THE STUDENTS!

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania owes the citizens, the public, the obligation to have Public Schools committed to serving We The People, NOT, We The Corporations. Education IS NOT a For-Profit business. As a matter of fact, it isn't a business BUT it is service-related to its students of all ages.

No charters. They pilfer money from the regulated public education system often to fraudulent benefactors..
