Public dollars should go to public schools. Charters School have private funding should seek their own buildings. For profit schools should not be allowed to use public funds.

A for profit charter school business has less interest in the education of the children of York, PA than it does in the anticipated tax dollar revenue it may realize.Nationwide, charter school performance has been dubious at best.

As a former resident of York, PA and a former Assistant to the Board Secretary for Harrisburg School District, I'm angered at the highly political and just plain wrong Acton of Governor Corbett. The state should not have the power or authority to override the local school board like this.

Public education is a civic duty, not a private business enterprise.

Privatizing schools has no place in education. Parasites are making money off the the taxpayer. Owners of Charters would never send their own kids to these schools!
