I support continued local control of York City School District. I am a graduate of the district and a former employee. I am disappointed in the poor leadership former Governor Corbett has shown in how to help a district truly recover. David Meckley has shown an equal amount of poor leadership in his inability to listen and appropriately respond to the teachers, students, parents and community at large. For profit companies have NO PLACE in the public education our forefathers intended for the masses. PA Dept. of Education: Please do YOUR PART to stop this corporate takeover in our state! Don't allow Fmr. Gov. Corbett to succeed in his vendetta against public education through the privatization of our public schools!

Any school run by a for-profit organization will only serve shareholders at the detriment of the students. Stop this stupidity and put the school back into the public trust.
