This petition is for Citizens from all walks of life in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana that are against the Great Lakes Basin Railroad Development.

Frank Patton of Great Lakes Basin Transportation, INC (GLB) wants to take private property from land owners for business profit. We believe the No-Build alternative is the best solution to the toll rail. Reasons for this are public safety, both in the building of the line and the subsequent operations over it (environment, health, taxes, property values, the loss of public convenience, dividing farm fields and farm crossings, hazardous materials, derailments, water quality, recreational activities, hunting, road closures, emergency preparedness, and other serious concerns). The effects that GLB will have including impacts on essential public services of fire, police, ambulance, neighborhood schools, public roads and adjoining properties in communities affected by the line.

GLB is making no Guaranties of any economy growth from the line.

This petition will be sent to Surface Transportation Board (STB) along the elected officials at the local, state, federal levels so they can correctly represent the citizens of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana.
