The proximity of Ritchie Park to our community is priceless. Not sure what the point of busing the kids do further away is. Instead of rerouting all the boundaries for schools, may I suggest that for every new subdivision that is made in our area.. we require the builders to financially support the school system to build new schools..so they are not over crowded .. before a permit is provided for them to start?
Thank you for your consideration

As a retired MCPS teacher, past JWMS PTSA President, and parent of 3 children who attended RPES, JWMS, and RMHS, I know from all angles the importance of a school being a cornerstone of a community. Schools with the greatest parent involvement have students with the greatest success. Life is already so difficult for working parents, often with children in multiple school levels within a cluster. Please make your decision with compassion for the children and their families directly affected by your choice, not based on what data looks like on paper.

This move will harm our children. Busing never worked in the past and it will not work now. Our children do not deserve to be treated this way.

Horizon Hill is barely a five minute ride for students & almost walkable except that the students would have to cross Falls Rd. Any change like this makes no sense. Please come and visit the community and school and see the proximity.

No to option C. Besides every reason, having my kids and all kids from Horizon Hill Drive 20-25 minutes in rush hour traffic without seatbelts is unacceptable. I understand due to budget restraints that all or most buses are not retro fitted with seatbelts. Our commute to school is 2 minutes maybe less or we can walk. I don’t even want to think about god forbid something’s happens.....I wouldn’t not want to be the superintendent or a board member if that happens.

I am opposed to moving students from their neighborhood home schools to other schools which are far away.

Please keep neighborhoods together and minimize busing. These neighborhoods are already diverse.

Please do not make our community an island separating us from our surrounding communities. As one of our speakers stated, it is very difficult to visit classmates in far away neighborhoods and difficult to maintain former school friends.

Option C is absolutely absurd and terrible for the community. Vote NO so that these children are not flung across the county from their neighborhood school.

NO to Option C. Option B or A are best for all cluster students!
