Dear parents,
We assume
that you have all read the email sent by the head of the school regarding the
fee increase announced for next year. Some of you have expressed your concerns
and questions during coffee mornings or have emailed the school directly to get
explanations. A follow up email has now also been sent with financial details
on the various (future) projects and comparisons to other international schools
in India.
We feel this does not justify the enormous increase from one year to the next.
The school is asking us parents to finance a fee increase of about 20%. That is
more than they raised over the past 7 years as explained in the email.This
is not considered normal business practice.
We have created an online petition (http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/cis-fee-increase). With this petition we would like to reach out to the school and make them aware of the fact that many parents do not agree with this fee hike and the way it has been communicated.We welcome a further development of the school, and we acknowledge that this implies costs. However, this needs to be planned on the long term and thus with realistic fee increase (for example a clear 5-year plan for both investments and fee increase).The goal of the petition is to convince the school to spread the increase of the fees over the next years.
If you feel the same way we urge you to sign the online petition. Individual meetings do not have enough impact. We want to collect and present the number of signatures to the head of school and the school board. We demand a meeting and reconsideration of the planned fee increase.

I HAVE BEEN SPENDING MY ENTIRE WEEK PREPARING A FORMAL LIST OF QUESTIONS TO DEMAND CLEAR FINANCIAL ANSWERS FROM THE BOARD!! THE MOMENT HAS ARRIVED TO FORCE THEM TO EXPLAIN THIS UNREALISTIC JUMP IN COSTS TO ALL OF US AT ONCE!!

THE MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY EXPLODING RIGHT NOW!! I AM BEYOND EXCITED TO SEE SO MANY PARENTS JOINING THIS FIGHT FOR FAIRNESS!! WE ARE SHOWING THE SCHOOL THAT THEY SIMPLY CANNOT IGNORE OUR COLLECTIVE CONCERN ANY LONGER!!

Ridiculous to hike fees like this without consulting anyone first. Very disappointed in the management.
The increase is unsustainable for expat families dealing with currency fluctuations. Please reconsider the timeline.
The students learn by the same teacher.I don't understand that indian student and foreign student different fee.
The school should take exchange rates into consideration too, as the Euro has dropped in value by 23% over the past three months, which means for international parents already a significant increase of the expense of education, even without raising the fee
Let's talk. Such changes should not start to be considered without a proper dialog. The entire school community should stand behind shared objectives and agreed means.
