Glenbard AFSCME Local 1970 members are requesting Cynthia Infelise be adopted as a member of the Contract Negotiating Committee during our upcoming negotiations with Glenbard School District 87.

Mrs. Infelise served as President of our Local chapter for four years and prior to that as Vice-President for almost two years. Mrs. Infelise fought for and presented our Local union with a contract unequalled in our union history and one of the highest granted in the State of Illinois in 2016. Under her leadership, we not only increased our salaries by 24% over a five-year period but also kept our insurance rates down, kept our free dental insurance, obtained paid leave time for family deaths and continued benefits for retirees. At Glenbard East, her home school, she increased our full-time membership to over 85 % during her term as Building Representative. She has experience and common sense and as a leader has administered and personally been able to help many GE employees.

She makes it her mission to stay current on union policies and procedures and continues to share her knowledge with any and all union members that request her help. It is in our best interest to have her as one of our key members on the Contract Negotiating Committee during our upcoming negotiations with Glenbard School District 87.

Please sign this petition, to be presented to our AFSCME Local 1970 Board Members, to request Cynthia Infelise be adopted as a member of the Contract Negotiating Committee during our upcoming negotiations with Glenbard School District 87 as one of the Committee members on the following spreadsheet: (https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/cinfelise)

The volume of support displayed here confirms that a seat for Cynthia Infelise on the negotiating committee is a priority for our members. I am currently finalizing the formal request to the board and will deliver the documentation this week to ensure our demand is processed immediately.
