Our hearts go out to Pastor Chuck Smith as he battles lung cancer. Lord, whenever that day comes, we know he is going to be with You, but in the time we have left, we want to do something to let him know how much his ministry has meant to us. We also know that the gratitude he most desires is gratitude toward You, God Almighty, who is the source of all strength and blessing.

You worked Your power through Pastor Chuck. Without you, he could have done nothing. So, we thank You, Lord God, for your grace toward Pastor Chuck and everyone You touched through him. We also thank Pastor Chuck for being faithful to Your calling. Whether we attended his church or another Calvary Chapel, heard him on the radio, or read his books, we have all been blessed by his ministry. Thank You, God, and thank you, Pastor Chuck.

We also ask that You would bless him anew in these days, God, both him and his family, that he would feel your presence afresh and rest in your joy and peace.
