As the 2012-2013 school year comes to a close, it has become apparent to many students and parents that the CHS music teacher and band director, Mr. Richard Freda, is not the right fit for the position.
The arts have long been a strong and valued component of a Cheltenham education. While our elementary and middle school programs flourish, and CHS vocal music and orchestra continue to shine, CHS band has declined sharply over the past year under Mr. Freda's direction.
If you would like to see a new CHS band teacher/ director in place for the upcoming school year, please add your name to this petition. And share comments reflecting the experiences that you and/or your child have had this year with Mr. Freda.
