The CDC ADMITS that these were GUIDELINES, NOT LAWS! I’ve been abandoned by my pain management doctor and have been treated like a CRIMINAL because I need opioids for CRPS,, arthritis, and degenerative disc disease.

Going to fill two different prescriptions after surgeries, my health Insurance provider would not authorize payment because the doctor did not get "pre-authorization"!! How can a doctor "pre-authorize" a Rx, three days BEFORE a procedure--absolute way for ProMedica to save money multiple times .

Most people 80 percent according to the CDC use pain medication as they are prescibed without abuse. Now after 19 yrs of severe pain doing every test surgery and procedure they ask i am being denied appropriate pain releif. This is barbaric treatment when we are just trying to live life without pain so bad you think about taking your own life. We beg for mercy but falls on deaf ears. All they hear is abuse

I agree opioids are a problem in our country, but don’t throw the chronic pain sufferers under the bus! Your new rules for chronic pain sufferers will do more harm than good!

I've been a Chronic Pain Patient for over 20yrs. I've have to World renouned Pain Management Centers (UCSF, and Standford) again with my Pain Management plan and that I show no signs of addictions, and yet the Paramaphist Board, the Medical Board and now the DEA are wanting to dictate how best to treat my Chronic Pain. I know what it was like prior to this med plan, I didn't think I could go on and thought about taking my life I was in so much pain. They want me to go back there? Whatever happened to personal responsiblity? A paent allows their child to get at their pain meds and they become addicted, or some doctor over prescribes and now everyone has to pay for their deliquency? Whatever happened to treating the the patient? I'm Scared. I will admit it, because the Government is dictating my healthcare, and I haven't even done something wrong. I've been on the same meds for a least 10yrs. I had Gastric Bypass because they said it would get rid of the pain, and it didn't. But now the only thing I can take over the counter is tylenol and that doesn't cut it. I have malabsorbation isues due to the surgery, so I use a pain patch, and for my Myofascial Disorder I take a muscle relaxer which I have to cut up in to small pieces. I've jumped through all of the hoop required, and they still want to take my meds away without giving me anyother option. This wrong to treat all Chronic Pain paitients the same. Thank you

I am a 39 year old female. I have been sously ill for 13 years. From day one the moment I told the Doctor I was suffering every day with pain I would immediately be told they did not want to treat me. I finally found a wonderful doctor, however he ended up taking a fellowship with Cleveland clinic. I was transferred to a different doctor who directly sent me to a pain clinic. It has been a nightmare. I was consistently made aware they would cut my medication at anytime. All of my urine tests were as they should be. I always had the proper number of meds. Then my worst fear came to be. I had an appointment with yet again a new doctor to the clinic he spent 15 minutes with me said he wanted to tapper my meds over a long period of time, he was rude didn't go over any of my questions regarding the new MRI's sent in that showed significant damage in my lower spine. Then he walked out. After waiting one and a half hours a long came out and gave me scripts that were an immediate and aggressive cut down of the medication I depend on, medication that just allows me to hang on. In my situation I don't take my pain medication and go anywhere, my illness keeps me bed ridden 85 percent of the time. I was told by one of the friendly nurses that they are doing this to almost every one . What do I do HELP

people with chronic pain need to be able to get medicine. It is inhumane to interfere with this. I'm SICK of attenpted interference (pun intended). I have an autoimmune disease and my pain management Dr. has saved my life and the govt. should stop interfering. People always find a new way to get high if that is what they are after and this is a well documented fact. Stop persecuting those who are the weakest in society, It is wrong and cruel to do so.

There seems to be a modern day witch hunt being perpetrated against people suffering from chronic pain. Who will protect this vulnerable group of people?
