Recently, a Chrome update has caused plugins that use the NPAPI architecture to be disabled. First of all, this is a huge inconvenience since it updates automatically with no obvious way to reverse the changes, causing people to wonder where on earth their plugins have gone and how to get them back. (under chrome://flags, by the way)

However, this is not all. In the future, before the end of 2015, Google plan to remove all support for the NPAPI architecture from their browser, meaning Java, Google Earth, and many more plugins such as Unity will no longer be supported. This is a real pain in the backside for both users of the plugins, and developers who want their plugins to be used.

So, I beg you, please don't let Google remove support for NPAPI, both for the users, such as myself, and the developers of older plug-ins. Thank you. If NPAPI support is removed, I will use Firefox instead, as me, and most likely a few other people out there, rely on this.
