Little by little our rights as Christians, are being taken away. This petition is for us Christians to take a stand and show that we have rights too Government lawyers have told the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) that Christians should “leave their religious beliefs at home or move to another job” when faced with a clash between the requirements of their faith and their employment Britain’s Christian heritage has encouraged religious freedom and tolerance. UK and European law largely protects an individual’s right to hold and manifest religious beliefs, although this is fast being eroded. We are witnessing an increasing restriction of religious freedom in this country. Increasing numbers of Christians have been penalised for their faith in the public sphere, often due to equalities legislation and the promotion of homosexual rights. Some Christians have been threatened with disciplinary action, suspended, and even sacked for refusing to act against their consciences. As Christian we vigorously resist any restrictions on freedom of speech and expression for Christians. I join this petition and would like my British and Christian faith to be tolerated, and therefore join and sign this petition to be presented to our government, and to the European court.
