This is really needed. The few that will take special needs children have certain criteria that my son at the time couldn't meet.

There are literally no resources in the state of MS for children with Autism and other disabilities, forcing families like mine to uproot and move unless something changes. Please I beg for a change for our children for our future. THEY ARE OUR FUTURE!

Children are the future of our country, but what if a large group of those children are denied the education every child needs and deserves? Mississippi desperately needs a Christian School for Children with Special Needs. These children have to fight so very hard for abilities that come natural to other children. They should not have to fight for an appropriate school or a proper education.
Our state is often listed last in polls about anything positive, and listed first in the negatives. These amazing children should not be punished by having such limited resources.
Every year more and more parents of special needs children are forced to move out of state to give their child the education they deserve. Often times these families must give up their home, career and sacrifice having a much-needed support system near by.
Uprooting families should not be our only option.
Please support this petition for the thousands of children depending on us to be their voice.

As Christian parents, we desperately need this option. Why would we want less for our children with special needs than we do for our "typical" children who we send to Christian schools?

As a former teacher in a private school, I find this to be a huge step in the right direction to meet the needs of children at different learning levels and with special needs. I fully support this. I pray it will pass here in MS.
