Christian deserves a pig

I know this might sound a little unconventional, but I’ve done my research, and I truly believe getting a pig would be a wonderful addition to our lives. Let me explain why:
1. Pigs Are Incredibly Intelligent and Affectionate
Pigs are smarter than dogs — they can be trained to follow commands, use a litter box, and even play games. They bond deeply with their humans and are known to be affectionate and emotionally attuned. Imagine having a pet that not only loves cuddles but is clever enough to learn tricks and routines!
2. Low-Allergen and Clean
Unlike cats or dogs, pigs don’t shed fur or produce dander, making them a great hypoallergenic option. And despite the stereotypes, pigs are naturally clean animals. They don’t like to soil their living space and will happily stick to a designated potty area.
3. Great for Mental and Emotional Wellbeing
Interacting with animals has proven benefits for reducing stress and anxiety. A pig’s quirky personality and loving behavior could add a lot of joy and laughter to our home — and honestly, wouldn’t it be fun to come home to a little snorting ball of happiness?
4. They Can Live Indoors (With the Right Setup)
Miniature pigs, like potbellies or Juliana pigs, can live indoors just like a dog. They enjoy snuggling on the couch, going for walks, and being involved in everyday life. With proper training and boundaries, they become delightful house pets.
5. We’d Be Amazing Pig Parents
We already have a stable, loving environment, and I know we’d provide a pig with everything it needs — space, stimulation, love, and care. This wouldn’t be a whim; I’m fully prepared for the responsibility.

Bonus Argument:
I’m not asking for something wild or impulsive — I’m asking for a companion animal I’ve researched deeply and genuinely believe will enhance our home life. If it doesn’t work out, we could have a solid rehoming plan in place, but I’m confident it will.
