As last year's summer camps director I found no employee to be more dedicated and selfless than Matt. It is unfortunate that his untimely "release from employment" bears so much inconsistency.

I got to know Matt before we kicked off our camps this year. Matt has the most willing heart of any person that I have ever met and he cares about people more than I have ever experienced. His work ethic encouraged me to become a better counselor this year and he still encourages me even though he is no longer with us. Matt is an amazing person and God has blessed me by bringing him into my life and I am thankful that I am able to call him a friend. Matt has the heart of a servant and he will do anything and everything to carry out Gods calling for him and that is inspiring to me. I hope we can have Matt back soon as he has been a true blessing in my life and in the lives of many others.

Matt was the go to guy, it didn't matter what time if day or night,if there was something that had or needed to be done he was doing it for the Love if the camp and for the Love of just being there, it was Always about the people, I remember him showing me the view,and non of the trees, wherever I looked were dead everything was green,i don't see that now. I love my my job at Christian Beret and he was part of that, he quickly became my brother in Christ, everything he spoke and thought was about the camp and how to make it better, we need people like this there, Its more than just a job, you fall in Love with what you're doing there,at least that's how it is for me and I know it is and was for him also. Bring him back we need people like this, if not for a paid position,why not Volunteer

I have known Matt for only a few months but in that time I can see the compassion and great Faith that he has being in service for this organization.

Matt worked very hard to make camp the way it is. His passion for this ministry motivated me to work harder than I thought I could. He encouraged me when times were tough, and helped me when needed. So many good memories tied to camp involve Matt. He is such a great guy, and everyone who meets him loves him! His attitude is contagious, and he is such a loveable guy. His servant hood for Christ is amazing. Not having Matt at camp feels like something is missing, and I really miss that guys energy and compassion. My prayers go out to Matt and Christian Berets in general.

Having matt russel back at camp would be so amazing he had such a passion for his work there. Also new everything about the facility and made it a great work place hopefully my prayers get answered and you get accepted back Matt.
