Brian Jones, founder of the Rolling Stones, died under very mysterious circumstances on the evening of July 2/3rd 1969 at his home, Cotchford Farm, Sussex, England. The inquest into his death was extremely brief, and his death was ruled to be \"death by misadventure\" at the time. However, since then, there is reason to believe Brian Jones may have been murdered. Sign this petition to have the police reopen the investigation into his death so the truth will be known for Brian\'s sake--contrary to popular myth. As of January 5, 2004, this petition is now a joint effort between myself, the webmaster of Brian Jones Precious Stone, and the Brian Jones Fan Club led by Trevor Hobley. But only with your support is there any hope that the powers that be might be pressured into reopening the investigation, and those who were present that night to come forward with their testimony. This may be a futile effort in the sense that there are certain people with a vested interest in keeping the case closed, but after many years of debate and many books on the subject, it is worth a try as a group effort.
