Without the relocation of this bus stop or reintroduction of a layby this will be an accident waiting to happen at this point

I have rarely if ever seen such a dangerous and banal system.

To place a bus stop immediately adjacent to a road crossing point and a traffic island is madness. When the bus stop is occupied by a bus, visibility around the bend of the road is completely obscured making the crossing point, predominantly used by families with children, very dangerous.
Please reconsider the placement of the bus stop and the re-introduction of the bus lay-by. Alternatively, remove the bus stop completely as there are three other stops within 500m.

No where else in Chineham is this the case. Elsewhere you can simply pass the bus, but the Village Hall Bus Stop has been put on a bend and then the bus layby was removed forcing the bus to stop on the road holding up the traffic. It is this problem that causes drivers to take risks and try and go around the bollards. Re-introducing the bus layby will remove the risk and therefore be much safer. It appears that very little thought was put into this when the bus layby was removed. It was probably a county wide decision, not taking individual circumstances into account. Very short sighted. Re-establish the bus layby before someone gets hurt.

The re-instatement of the bus lay-by is long overdue.

It was ridiculous to remove this layby in the first place. Very shortsighted.

It was nuts to take away the bus lay-by. I support its re-introduction as soon as possible.

As a resident of Chineham I fully support the concerns being raised by Chineham residents of the dangers highlighted by the village hall bus stop .

As the traffic numbers increase due to new developments and rat running throughthe village from the business park, we desperately need the safety of this road improved by the re instatement of the bus layby.

My daughter was knocked off her bike by a car in April at this spot. It is a well used crossing by children and also a busy 'rat run' during rush hours . . .

Please bring back the lay-by.
It can't happen to soon. (The lay-by).
