Equality of the sexes is an important part of education and something I strongly believe in. I refuse to stand idly while dress codes; including the one at my school, continue to skew in favor of males.

The rules should for sure apply to both sexes! How is any girl supposed to find a tank top with straps 3 finger widths? With the styles of clothes today, there isn't much to them. I see nothing wrong with wearing tank tops as long as you are covered well.

This was a big issue at my school too. I'm not against sleeveless shirts, but there should be a specific definition of what is appropriate, and if it states 3 fingers for 1 it should be 3 fingers for all.

I believe that what goes for one gender must go for the other. That's called equality. As a school system we should be teaching both genders that they can prosper in anyway they want and what they choose to wear on THEIR BODY has no effect on where they are going in their life. Also, to pull a girl out of class because a boy is sexualizing her is putting one students education above another's. And if you're sitting in school sexualizing a teenager that is your problem, not the teens.
