Yet another travesty in the making. Beat back these entitled gutter vipers.

I have lived on Squibnocket for a long time, and am being forced, against my will, to be a part of this embarrassing, disastrous error in judgement, including a buyback of land that my family and others gave to a conservation foundation (VOLF) to preserve forever. I am one of several Squibnocket homeowners who have been fighting this for years, but it is not so easy when the hoa and the town are working in concert to make this actually happen. It is discouraging to see people deaf to reason. There is a fully engineered alternative to the bridge advocates' bullying which is beautiful to look at and costs a fraction of the bridge monstrosity, called The Dune Ridge Solution. That is what we are fighting for and to send this plan to the dustbin before it is built this Fall. That is what should truly alarm everyone.

After my father died suddenly, Parker Montgomery donated the entrance and bird flyway land to VOLF in perpetuity to be forever wild and to save taxes. Now greed and hysteria on the part of colluding new homeowners and selectmen are pushing for something which will not be in character or be able to withstand hurricanes and is at great expense and which we are not in favor of.

I have been going to Squibnocket every year of my life. It is beautiful and deserves to remain that way. Researching this project displays no Environmental Impact reports, permits or other due diligence usually found with these types of projects. Something fishy is going on here. THIS MUST BE STOPPED.

I'm with Max -- they knew the deal when they bought their land and built their houses. We shouldn't have to pay for their arrogance.

"Squiby"is part of Chilmark, how could anyone think of doing such an absurd thing...a bridge? NO

This is a bad idea that--contrary to what officials say--was NOT a community process.

Long time resident of Stonewall Beach and user of Squibnocket beach. I oppose the proposed changes, they bought their properties out on Hornblower point and new the deal when (many of them) built their giant summer houses. I don't see how this is needed, how it can be built so close to wetlands etc.
