It is against anyone's human rights to not have use of toilet facilities. Locking toilets is ridiculous!

With a child with additional needs who struggles to use the facilities when busy this policy is barbaric and will cause a lot of unnecessary anxiety

For a teenage girl having her cycle her body does not work to break and lunchtime only, my daughter in particular suffers with heavy periods and I’d hate the idea she’d have to wait until a break time to change, can you imagine how mortified she’d be if she had an accident in a classroom full of children!

My son has been hospitalised due to not being able to go to the toilet when he needed to and holding it in.

Causing more anxiety for students when school is already stressful enough.

This is school, not jail. Holding in your toilet is how urine infections are caused and poor girls need to change sanitary items regularly. This is cruel

My concern if a girl is on their period they are denied access to using the toilet, outside of break times.

This is disgraceful! Using the toilet is a basic human right! Did you know 1-12 children have continence issues, never mind young girls adapting to the changes with their bodies. Holding urine also increases the risk of a uti by allowing bacteria to grow in the bladder. This will result in higher illness and use of antibiotics. Increasing antibiotic resistance! This could also lead to more serious kidney infections as holding urine causes strain on the muscles that stop it travelling back to your kidneys. People are treated better in prison now than uk schools

Having 2 daughters at the school, I need to know that when they are on their periods, they can use the toilet when they need to without the risk of being told they can't and bleeding through their clothes. Being locked out of the toilets is disgusting!!
