Children Refugees In Syria Civil War
Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, more than 210,000 innocent lives have been lost due to bombing and gunfires within the battlefield. 7000 of which were little kids and children that had lost their rights as a child. Although these “rights” have been set by the UN convention, the war seems to ignore them, this is shown by the huge amount of kids that lost their lives in the war. A few of the more obvious rights that have been abused Article 6 and 8. These both state that each and every child should have the right to live and the right to have an identity that can represent themselves. These have obviously been abused as lots of children have been killed and others lost their identity due to being refugees. Other abuses include the right to play and the right to have at least a decent living condition. These rights of child have also been cruelly taken away by the war as refugee can only give the children a poor living condition and the crowded area does not allow children to play and have fun. Another rights that have been ignored is Article 39, which is that “You have the right to help if you've been hurt, neglected or badly treated.” This right is ignored as air raids, gunfire and starvation hurts or even kills kids in Syria, it was said by the organisation “savethechildren” that FIVE MILLION children in Syria are in danger of being killed or been terribly injured by the war. It was also said 7000 children have already died because of this war.
One of the many examples of child right abuse in Syria is the three-year-old Syrian boy whose body was washed up on a beach in Turkey in an attempt to flee from the Syrian war to Canada. The innocent little boy’s name is Aylan Kurdi, he along with his older brother and mother have lost their lives in sea but their father has survived . Now, you must be thinking, in what way does that concern me? But you must think about it in this way, what if you were that father, will you be able to live with you life? This sad boy clearly lost the most important right of all, right to live.
As the reader, you might think of this as another petition trying to get signatures, but think about this. If YOU were a refugee child in Syria, who lost everything you have and all the rights to eat, sleep, play and also every single right of child and forced to be a refugee. Do you think you deserve help from other more lucky people? Do you think you deserve the any of this even though you have done NOTHING wrong and that you are born?
Now that you think that the kids don't deserve what they have now. You might be thinking, how can I help? Well, the fact is that you alone cannot make a change. The only way to solve this crisis in Syria is the whole world working together to push the governments included to do action ASAP.
By supporting this petition you agree that the children in Syria who are suffering should be heard! You agree children should have the rights to live and have fun. And most importantly, you agree that together we can change the future of millions of children in Syria. So what are you waiting for? Sign this petition and let the unheard children refugees in Syria be heard!!!
