Children who go through and have official documented reports of sexual trauma deserve the legal right to have psychological therapy regarding the allegations immediately, ordered by the state.

Today’s laws require both parents sign for a minor to receive therapy.

In every child’s best interest, an updated law needs to include every documented sexual abuse allegation be legally followed up through the courts with both parents notified of mandatory therapy services provided by a psychologist who can help a child navigate through a confusing time.

With so many cases in a broken system, some children with allegations can fall through the cracks.

Reports of abuse by children, even documented sexual allegations, can be taken with a grain of salt.

Help become an advocate for children in need. Support children, our future, the right to have their voices heard and heal.

All sexually abused children deserve the legal right to therapy.

Help be a part of the change for children to have access to the modalities they need, moving confusion, anger & sadness to a more peaceful place, which can be aided by trained professionals.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the stories you have shared with me about your own experiences in this system. It is clear that the current rules for therapy access are failing too many kids and I am working hard to gather the right resources to take our concerns to the decision makers.

Everything that this petition stands for, I am with! Adults need to be the voice that these children don’t have. And through this, we can be!! I stand with this. I stand with them.

My own daughter struggled for years because the system tied my hands. No child should have to wait for therapy when they have been hurt like this. This needs to change now.

It is honestly sickening that a parent who is suspect can block a kid from getting help. How is that allowed? FIX IT.

This really hits home for me, I was abused for 8 years of my childhood. And many years of counseling. I share my story with everyone as a part of my self healing. And in doing so I have helped a few kids stop the abuse and made sure the predator was convicted. No shame in my story it has made me who I am today! Just wish I could save EVERY CHILD!! Not getting them the help they need makes them a victim over and over! Love to them all

This is extremely important! In a divorce when one parent tries to cover up inappropriate behavior the child suffers greatly for life! Mandatory counseling removes the ability to cover this up! This should be the norm not something new.
