Due to health reasons, severity of cause or injury and various benefits for patients at Christiana Hospital, children may not be advised to visit. .However, if you have a loved one that has been admitted to receive care at Christiana and you lack the resources for personal sitter, especially after business hours during the hospital's visiting hours you also will not be able to visit.
I believe Christiana should create a daycare facility, ages 0-12 years to remedy this problem. Children may be checked-in for a maximum length of 90 minutes so that they may visit their loved ones. Rooms will be separated by age, parents or guardians will sign in children, must write what patient or room they will be visiting and have to show I.D. to pick them up.
This will be very beneficial and a great relief to those who struggle to find ways to see their friends and family at Christiana.

I never imagined this would get so much traction when I started typing it out on my phone while sitting in the waiting room feeling totally helpless. It actually feels like people are finally seeing how impossible this situation is for families who just want to be there for their loved ones. We have real momentum now so please keep spreading the word because I really think they are going to have to listen to us eventually.

Godd idea. Not everybody has or can afford a babysitter especially when you have someone in a hosital with so many other expenses.
I fully support this decision. One should not miss the opportunity to see a loved one simply because they are a parent. While I can understand the reasoning for age restrictions, accomodations should be made. Christiana Hospital has a restaurant and Brew Ha Ha but can't make this work?!
This would be awesome. Time is precious during moments like this. One visit could be a life or death situation. Let's get this done.
I totally agree with this as long as the child care being provided is great qualified ppl that loves children.
This is such a great idea. I truly hope the powers that be at CCHS look at this petition with an open mind and heart.

I agree there were many times I could not visit a friend or family member because I had no one to watch my children when they were young.
