Many aboriginal warriors and Eurasian soldiers died to preserve our right to Freedom of Speech.

Chief Alvin Fiddler disrespects these warriors and soldiers when he tries to stifle the voices of people by using his Race Card.

He is currently trying to censure Senator Lynne Beyak , who while acknowledging the bad things about Residential School, has stated there are positives. She is not alone. Positives experiences were discussed at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (CBC Report), by successful author and Order of Canada member Tomson Highway, who says thousands of indigenous students had positive experiences, and by Chief and Elder Cece Hodgson-McCauley who states many people are afraid to share their positive experience.

Senator Beyak has also stated that decades of funding have not solved indigenous issues. We all know people still live in poverty. She tried to start a conversation by suggesting:

  1. Equality for all Canadians.
  2. A fair settlement for native issues.
  3. A ripping up of the Racist Indian Act which gives status to one native and not another. (divisive politics)

You can read Senator Beyaks Statement, and letters of support from Prominent Canadians, and Everyday Canadians.

Chief Fiddler with the support of NDP MP Charlie Angus (a failed leadership candidate), are trying to Petition the Canadian Government to remove Senator Beyak. A Senator cannot be removed unless convicted of a crime.

PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION.

Tell Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN), The Chiefs of Ontario, and The Anishinabek Nation that:

•Identity Politics is not acceptable

•Divisive Politics is not acceptable

•Bully Politics is not acceptable

CHIEF ALVIN FIDDLER MUST RESIGN

I have been reading through the different messages people are sending me about the residential school debate and it is honestly wild how much people are afraid to talk openly about these things. It just confirms why we need to keep pushing for actual transparency because nobody should be getting silenced when they bring up these difficult topics.

It is honestly surreal watching this catch fire because I really just started this out of pure frustration one night while staring at my laptop screen. The sheer amount of people who feel exactly the same way about these conversations is overwhelming and I keep having to remind myself that this momentum is actually happening in the real world.

I disagree with segregation and apartheid, and I disagree with those in the Indian industry, silencing discussion on native issues and Indian Act. Senator Beyak has opened a dialogue, let's keep it open!

You know the federal gov apologized for the IRS system right? The gov itself, rightfully, doesn't care if Tom and Jane had a good day at IRS, because Hank, Sherman, Donna and Gary were brutally and repeatedly raped by the priests there. Why on earth would anyone defend a system that the gov itself lamented the very existence of? You people are insane.

Complete disrespect for all of those who have gone before us and those still standing for truth.

Actually if you had read the petition, you would see that Chiefs and Elders, and thousands of natives, including aboriginal author and Member Of The Order Of Canada are also expressing their opinion. It is a shame that they are being attacked, many of whom are afraid to speak out because of bullies like Fiddler. They are the ones getting hit by a stick.

Ask the Elders and Chiefs. Ask the thousands who say they had positive experiences. They are not insane!

What a sad waste of time - attacking someone for simply expressing his knowledge about residential schools; as against an ignorant politician living on a patronage appointment and ignoring the voices of those who actually experienced the system. It's a shame so many have nothing better than do than attack those who have always get the wrong end of the stick: criminal
