Businesses that thrive can grow deeper, stronger, more resilient
roots. Roots that stay, roots that are the base of Chico.
We have lost too many businesses the last half a decade due to the
lack of support from our city (RE: Hula’s being severely overcharged
for their sewage rates- I would hate to have them be another in the
long list). We need to step up now, as a city, and take action to
create opportunities for our small businesses/downtown. The worst action is none. The best
action is being proactive… why wait until it is too late to make a
difference for the community you are a part of? This petition shows that we all want the same thing for our community, for our Chico.
