Happy to add my name to this quest. We used to have 6 great Rhode Island red hens many years ago. No roosters though. Also had ducks but the geese were just too much. Fantastic security guards but too noisy!!

A few chickens (less than 8) certainly are more good than bad. We are not wanting to set up a chicken farm. We want to have a few pet chickens and fresh eggs. (Fyi Chicken diapers are for sale to allow your chickens inside if you wish.)

Zoning laws should be amended to allow all Redlands neighborhoods to keep backyard chickens if they so desire.

I see no difference in having pet hens and having other birds as pets as long as the yard is kept clean just as one would clean up after his or her dogs. People should be allowed to have hens, they are quiet animals and I have no problem with them in my neighborhood.
