Dan Cathy, COO of Chick-fil-a, made a statement recently that he believed in the traditional, biblical definition of marriage—one man married to one woman. Since he made that statement, the mayors of Chicago, Boston, and San Francisco have let it be known that they would use their power to keep Chick-fil-a restaurants from opening in their cities.
Now in New York City, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn is using her influence to try to close down the one Chick-fil-a store in New York City. She is currently circulating a petition asking people to support her cause.

These conversations reinforce that the right to hold personal convictions is a fundamental value for our neighbors. I am currently organizing the feedback to ensure these concerns reach the attention of the appropriate offices.

The momentum behind this effort has grown beyond my initial expectations. It is encouraging to see so many people affirming the principles of liberty and personal conviction in the face of such public pressure.

THEY MAKE THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH EVER!!! KEEP THE POLITICS OUT OF MY LUNCH.
Ridiculous waste of tax dollars. City officials should focus on fixing the streets instead of attacking a sandwich shop because they dont like the owners views.
