A northern route bypass is not a sustainable approach to traffic management around chichester and will adversely and disproportionately alter the future design of chichester. I vote no.

Building new roads is known to be cumulatively congestion causing and will leave the A27 underfunded. Much better to resolve the current A27 and leave the boundaries of the South Downs National Park alone!

I have lived in Lavant, Singleton and in north Chichester (Summersdale) all my life. It is a most beautiful spot as described by William Blake in the hymn Jerusalem as 'englands green and pleasant land'. Please preserve this outstanding landscape for local people and future generations.

We live in a beautiful area, the suggested route in the observer article is not necessary. The current A27 can be modified/improved at Oving and traffic flow into Chichester at Birdham roundabout.

I visit Chichester frequently and know that a bi-pass will not solve the problems of Chichester traffic.

It would seem to me that the proposed route would ruin valuable agricultural land and unique villages not forgettingthe Goodwood estate and motoring circuit which brings so much business to Chichester

The Goodwood area is enjoyed by many people for its beauty and peace. Upgrade the current A27 - don't scar and destroy this wonderful area.

As a constant visitor to Chichester the idea of a northern bypass is appalling. A good way to spoil one place so that people can get to places waiting to be spoilt by overpopulation and excess traffic.
