It has been brought to my attention the obscene amount of parking tickets being distributed by Cheshire West and Chester council within residential areas of Chester where vehicles are un-obstructive and there is no other parking facilities available. This is totally unacceptable considering the increase of council taxes over the years. This adds to the fact drivers are being targeted as money making machines for local authorities, something we will not tolerate. This behaviour jeopardises our RIGHT to entertain visitors and load/unload un-obstructively by our homes. I will be submitting this petition to local press, the council, MPs and the Highways agency to obtain an amicable solution to the issues we are experiencing.
