absolutely shocking they are going to build on this land! So many other eye sores in Heywood they could use. Part of Heywood tradition Cherwell bonfire. Very sad.

Absolute disgrace. So many sites in this town that are ok for development but they had to pick this one. I smell corruption !!!

Save our field!!!! There will be more traffic, hardly any green land left & are the council going to build another school to cope with the additional children the houses will create?

Why build on a nice open space where there so many other places to be built on such as the old school that has been pulled down and left near morrisons.

I've been going to 'Cherwell bommy' for as long as I can remember since I was a kid, it's an annual event that I wish to take my 2 daughters (& grandchildren) for years to come to enjoy Cherwell fair every Halloween/bonfire weekend

This has happened in Australia. Nearly all of our traditions are gone. It's such a shame my grandchildren will never know our traditions. Good luck hope Rochdale council listen to you

there are plenty of unused unsightly pieces of waste land that could be built upon...why again take something from the young they enjoy the annual bonfire on that field

I believe that the council to build more houses were our kids play. Why don't they use all the empty houses at back of the moss which are boarded up. Wake up and release what you are doing.

I've lived in heywood since I was born and even moving to Norden, I still make sure I get to see the bonfire and fireworks at Cherwell bonfire. It will be a shame to see more houses being built on a great piece of land.
