Why do the 'little people' never get heard? Why knock a load of houses down near enough across the road and leave that space empty which has always had housing on just to show you can throw your weight around and build on perfectly good green area AGAIN?

There are plenty of other alternatives like the land where the Bamford used to be & the old Moss Field school site!!! Absolutely disgusting that the council have granted permission for homes to be built on such a lovely area of green belt land... Rochdale Council should be ashamed of themselves!!!

Use brown field sites first.

Land should be left as community area. There are other areas where houses have been demolished that should be used.

Build houses but on brownfield sites such as Starkey Street where the school was.

If rochdale want to do something in heywood surely they should ask the people of heywood first. Hardly democratic...

One of the reasons we decided to move to Heywood was for the children to play out together with family members' kids and enjoy the green space. This will detract from the area and we agree that there are many other far less desirable land sites that could be built on.

The field holds many found memories for me and I don't want to see it go.

will be ruining the field for little kids who always go on it and when Cherwell bonfire happens, will have no where to go and that's the highlight of the year and don't need any more houses there

absolute joke, taking away a well used community green space when there's plenty of disused sites with existing residential infrastructure, Kirkstall avenue comes to mind!

There is plenty of room to build on Bramford rd .

We have enough brown field sites in Heywood. Why build on fields which are well used in the community. Site of old Squash club and school are very near to this space. They would be ideal and will improve the local area.

disgraceful. There are plenty of unsightly alternatives. Do what the local residents want and leave this piece of land alone!
